The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grain merchandising, with expertise in market analysis, contract management, and supply chain logistics. As a Grain Merchandising Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing grain procurement, sales strategies, and fostering relationships with suppliers and customers.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement grain merchandising strategies to maximize profitability and market share.Analyze market trends, supply and demand factors, and pricing to inform decision-making.Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and customers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of grain products.Maintain and build relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, brokers, and industry contacts.Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to meet market demand while minimizing excess.Prepare and present reports on market conditions, sales performance, and financial metrics.Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and marketing, to align merchandising strategies with company goals.Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
