About the Role Shodair Children’s Hospital seeks a Genetic Counselor to provide counseling, risk assessment, and education for patients across Montana. This is a general genetics role supporting both pediatric and adult patients which requires outreach travel and close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Provide genetic counseling in clinic and outreach settings. Collect and interpret medical, family, and psychosocial histories. Coordinate and interpret genetic testing. Educate patients on risks, recurrence, and testing options. Document all care in the EMR and produce counseling reports. Deliver genetics education and develop patient materials. Connect families with appropriate resources. Participate in research and uphold all ethical and regulatory standards. Ideal Candidate Warm, professional, and patient-centered.
